Cooper is Killing Me

Cooper is my wildest child by far.  In the past few weeks he has gotten into my make up and drew all over the walls with eye shadow and mascara and then proceded to dump base all over Braxton's new bed spread and the carpet.  He got into the toothpaste and sqeezed it on the carpet and then smeared it all over the walls.  He poured calamine lotion all over the carpet.  He cant just pull out one toy he has to empty every bucket.  THANK GOODNESS he starts preschool next week, and its all day long!  He is so funny though.  Everybody loves him.  The other day we were swimming and he pointed to my chest and sais "you have floaties too mom".  When we were waiting with the boys at the bus stop he was crying because he didn't get to ride it.  He said "Im not little mom, im bigger".  When we got to the school, we were waiting for the boys and he blurts out "its too freaking hot out here".  The other day he asked if we could go see grandma, I said what Grandma.  Come to find out he was talking about my grandma that past away last year and I siad, Cooper she died and is in heaven.  He said "but mom, I will give her medicine and brush her hair".  He was so sincere about it.  He sais something funny everyday, I really need to write things done more often.

New Year, New School

First Day of School

This year the boys are going to Batterman Elementary School.  Braxton is in 3rd grade and has Mrs. Lee-Rouadi and Logan is in Kindergarten and has Mrs. Hanly.  They boys were so excited because they get to take the bus this year.  I dropped then off at the bus stop and made sure they got on and then headed to the school to meet them.  Once they got off the bus I took Logan over to his class and poor Braxton had to find his own place to line up.  I felt really bad but he did fine.  He found one of his friends and his mom was nice enough to help him find his class.  When I picked Logan up I asked him if he had fun and he said, "no".  I think he thought they were just going to play all day.  Braxton liked his class and said his teacher was really nice.  He met a new friend in class and then found his friends from church at lunch.  Today he asked me not to pick him up from the bus stop.  He wants to be cool and walk home.  Good thing its just down the street.

4th of July Weekend

Over the 4th of July weekend we were lucky enough to have The Leo's come and visit us.  They boys loved going over to there condo to swim.  They also had fun activities everyday like making bobble heads and tie-dying shirts.  While they were here we went to The Tournament of Kings and also went to Red Rock Hotel and saw the Fireworks.  They were one of the best fireworks I had seen.  One of the radio stations even had music playing that went along with the show.

Summer Adventures

This summer has been loads of fun.  We have had a lot of visitors and have got to go do a lot of fun things.  Here are some of the fun things we have done...

Bonnie Springs Ranch

One hot afternoon we headed over to Bonnie Springs Ranch.  It is just up the canyon from our house.  On our way we ran into these wild donkeys.  We pulled over and they came over to the car.  At first our windows were down and they tried poking there heads in the windows.  Braxton was freaking out.  Russ and I were laughing so hard. It was hillarious.  The ranch was pretty lame but the boys had fun. They had an old mining town, train and a petting zoo, but the animals all looked like they had diseases.  They did have a cool turtle pond with tons of turtles.

The Shark Reef

The boys loved the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay.  We saw a bunch of fish, octopus and pharrana's.  They had a place were you could touch a sting ray but the boys did not dare. At the end we got to walk through a cool shark tunnel and see all the fish swimming around us.

                                                                        The Lion King

My mom brought Monica, Lexi and Tyler down to visit.  We left the little ones home with Russ and took Braxton, Lexi and Logan to go see the The Lion King.  They liked it for the first half but then it got a little long and they were ready to go.

One of our favorite places to eat when people come to visit is The Rain Forest Cafe at MGM.  The first time we went with my parents and Cooper was so scared of the animals.  Whenever they would start moving and making noice he would run over and sit on my dads lap.  We went back with Russ's parents and he did a little better but still was a little timid.

Tournament of Kings

One weekend we had lots of visitors.  Monica and my mom were here and so were the Leo's.  We took everyone to go see The Tournament of Kings.  They boys absolutly loved this.  Cooper went around for weeks repeating some of the phrases they were saying.

Last of all, we have seen a ton of movie and have gone swimming almost everyday......
